Foraging in the Northwoods for Food & Fun

Monday, Nov. 3

6:30 p.m.

Library Lower Level

It can be quite fulfilling to eat wild food harvested by one’s own hand – and our northern forests have much to offer! Through pictures, stories, and samples you will be introduced to some of the abundant yet little-known resources around us, with an emphasis on respectful harvesting techniques. You’ll never look at the “wild” the same way again!
Alex Breslav, of Three Lakes, forages on a regular basis via the Teaching Drum Outdoor School, where several years ago he completed the year-long wilderness immersion program. He has a B.S. in Environmental Resource Management and several year’s experience teaching environmental/outdoor education.
