Local History Room launches Photo Gallery

The Library staff is pleased to announce the launching of our Local History Room’s Photo Gallery.  The photo gallery contains over 400 historical images of an early Three Lakes family, the Kloes family.  The photos were recently donated to the Demmer Library’s Local History Room by a descendant of the Kloes family to be used for local history research.  The photos also highlight the early lumber history of the Three Lakes area.

The Demmer Library’s Local History room was designed to facilitate the sharing of family history resources to residents of Three Lakes and surrounding areas.  Future plans for the Local History room include adding pre-1907 birth, marriage and death records of Oneida County as well as the addition of the Eve Corkery Photo collection of Three Lakes images to the online photo gallery.  Additionally, the staff of the Demmer Library encourage other Three Lakes families interested in sharing their family history information with others to contact us to discuss the many ways in which we can accomplish this task.
