Job Search Kit @ the Demmer

Are you searching for a job?  As more and more citizens rely on the library for assistance in their job seeking efforts, the E.U. Demmer Library and Wisconsin Valley Library System, supported by a 2009 LSTA Grant are providing a “Job Search kit” that includes access to the electronic database product – Learning Express along with 2 netbooks and a wireless printer. This kit and assistance from library staff will help patrons in searching for employment opportunities, creating and fine tuning cover letters and resumes, as well as brushing up on basic computer skills.  During the month of April you may visit the library to utilize this kit to conduct your job searching at the library.  The computer workstation is set-up with easy access to several Internet resources for job searching and includes access to a wireless printer.  There is no fee for this service and it is available on a first come first serve basis.  Call the Demmer Library at 546-3391 for more information.

Federal Tax Forms

Some of the most commonly used Federal Income Tax forms and Wisconsin Tax Forms for 2009 are now available at the library.  The forms are on a table located in the back area of the library next to the Science Fiction books.  As we receive the forms we will put them on the display.  If you need other tax forms you may find them online at http://www.irs.gov/ or http://www.revenue.wi.gov/html/formpub.html .  Wisconsin does offer free electronic filing of Wisconsin tax forms.
