Six Word Stories at the Demmer!

All November long, come to the Dememr Library and celebrate National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) with your own novels… written in six words! We have multiple BIG sheets of paper set up around the library, each with a bucket of markers nearby, ready to be your blank sheet! The only rule is the story must be six words. You’ll be amazed at what can be said so briefly!

The story goes that Ernest Hemingway was challenged by colleagues to write a complete story using only six words. He wrote just such a story.

Ernest won the challenge. Some people dispute the accuracy of the story, but the idea has stuck! So come to the Demmer and continue this tradition of brevity and story-telling!
